The combination of photography expert, eco-guide and gorgeous glamping in the Carnarvon Ranges make this an inspiring 2025 retreat.

  • 4WD coach and walking
  • 5 days/4 nights
  • Discover the secrets of successful photography on a 5-day getaway where the landscapes, flora, fauna, rock formations, sunsets and night skies are a constant inspiration.

This photography enthusiasts course with a professional photographer and eco-guide explores the different things you need to know, from macro photography of rare plants to time lapse photography of the stars. You’ll learn how to get the best from your DSLR camera or smartphone settings as you explore little-visited areas of the Carnarvon Ranges.

This small-group getaway spends one night in Roma with its iconic outback sights and three nights at the Wallaroo Outback Retreat where you’re right amongst nature in your deluxe glamping accommodation.

At the remote and extensive Wallaroo private property deep in the Carnarvon Ranges you have exceptional opportunities to find unique images – from prehistoric cycads to multi-layered sandstone to panoramic views of the Arcadia Valley, from Indigenous rock art to remote riverscapes. You can try to capture a portrait of a shy wallaby or perhaps a delicate insect hovering above a flower.

Share ideas and results with your fellow guests and gather around the rustic fire pit in the evenings to chat about the day
